About the role
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to shape the academic direction, research profile and national standing of Nursing. Reporting to the National Head of School, you will oversight of ANMAC accreditation, regulatory compliance and the quality and consistency of nursing programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the academic performance and growth of the Nursing discipline nationally.
- Drive curriculum innovation and ensure ongoing ANMAC accreditation compliance.
- Strengthen research output, higher degree supervision and national profile.
- Mentor and develop academic staff to enhance teaching quality and impact.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships across health, government and industry.
Qualifications, skills & experience
In addition to the requirements for the Academic Classification Level (typically of a Level D) that underpin this role, the following apply:
- Must have a PhD (or equivalent) in Nursing or a related discipline.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated success in program accreditation (including ANMAC).
- Sustained achievement in teaching, research and academic leadership.
- A developing or established national reputation in scholarship and / or professional practice.
- Proven capacity to lead through influence, foster collegiality and contribute to academic governance.
